Merry Christmas Snoopy

Everyone loves Snoopy, right?  We all remember him sleeping on top of his doghouse or flying after the Red Baron.  When I saw this rubber stamp of Snoopy several years ago, I knew I HAD to have it, and it's become one of my favorite stamps for Christmas cards.

I always love the simplicity of this card!  I used colored pencils to color the doghouse and the Christmas lights, and I added some Stickles to enhance the snow.  The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life's Christmastree2stamp set (which I believe has been discontinued).  I'm also entering this in the Anything Christmas Goes challenge at The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge and at the Anything Goes challenge at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy scrapping!

One of my son's friends has a birthday party tomorrow that we can't make it to, so we're sending a present to school on Monday with Joseph for the little boy.  Just another opportunity for me to make a card!  This time, I used Card Sketch #10 at Sketch-N-Scrap:
 And here's my card:

Since I made this card base myself, I didn't have an envelope to go with it, so I pulled out my new WeRMemoryKeepers Envelope Punch Board and made one!  This was the first time I'd used the punch board, and I was surprised at how SUPER easy it was to make an envie.  I will DEFINITELY be using this again!

Supplies used:
~Echo Park Boys Mini Theme patterned paper
~Echo Park A Boy's Life 6x6 mini pad

Challenges entered:
~Scrappin' 'n' Chattin' Monthly Card Challenge--animal
~Party Time Tuesdays Anything Goes #139
~Pattie's Creations Animals #76
~Sketch-N-Scrap Card Sketch #10

Happy scrapping!

Pattie's Creations Design Challenge--Easter #41

As a school teacher, I thought this day would never come--SPRING BREAK!!!!!  What a glorious day it was when that final bell rang!  I'm a little bit late in posting my card for the newest challenge at Pattie's Creations, so my apologies.  The new theme is Easter, and you MUST use a digital or stamped image on your creation.  I chose Pattie's Easter basket with eggs image and created this card:

I decided to just go CAS with this card.  I printed the image three times, so I could use some other eggs and the bow as dimensional elements.  First, I colored everything in my image and cut it out.  Then, I decided which eggs I wanted to add dimension to and colored only those on my second printed image, cut them out, and adhered them to the respective eggs with pop dots.  Finally, I colored the bow on the third printed image, cut it out, and adhered it with pop dots as well.  I'm not sure where my sentiment sticker is from, but I found it in my stash.

We'd love to see your Easter creations!  Please remember that they MUST have a digital or stamped image somewhere on the creation.  You've got until Thursday, April 19, at 1:00 p.m. Central Standard Time to get your creation uploaded at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Pattie's Creations Design Challenge--Anything Goes #40

Well, once again, I forgot to post my project for the new challenge at Pattie's Creations!  This has been a VERY crazy week for us!  On Monday night, my oldest son (who was visiting for his spring break) broke his arm; on Thursday, my husband retired from the Marine Corps, and we had family here until this morning.  CRAAAAZY!!!!!

The theme for Challenge #40 at Pattie's Creations is ANYTHING GOES!!  Please remember that you MUST use a digital or stamped image on your creation.  The design team was given some images from this week's sponsor, Dude Time Doodles, to choose from, and I chose to use Corset II.

I added some pearls for the buttons on the corset and again along the ribbon.  The sentiment is from a stamp set I found in my stash.

Since the theme is such an EASY one, we hope to see LOTS of entries!!!  Be sure to get your projects (with a digi or stamped image!) linked up at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge by April 4.  Happy scrapping!

Pattie's Creations Design Challenge--Tags #39

Have I mentioned lately that I LOOOOOOVE Fridays?!?!?  ESPECIALLY the Friday before my birthday (which is Monday!), which just HAPPENS to include a visit to my WONDERFUL hair stylist, Meredith!

It's also time for a BRAND NEW CHALLENGE at Pattie's Creations!  Challenge #39 is all about tags, and the DT has some GREAT projects posted for you on the challenge blog.  I used Pattie's image "Sunflowers Vase" for my tag:

I printed the image twice and colored both with my Crayola colored pencils, then used pop dots to adhere them together and add some dimension.  The sentiment is from Studio G, the ribbon is from my stash (which I bought to match the papers), and the papers are from Bo Bunny's Forever Fall line.  This is also my entry for the Progressive Challenge #13 at CDAC.

We hope you'll play along with us this week!  Don't forget that you MUST use a digital or stamped image on your creation.  Be sure to get your tag linked up on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog by Thursday, March 22.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Pattie's Creations Design Challenge--Vintage #38

OOPS!  I did it again!  I didn't get my project for the newest Pattie's Creations challenge posted last night!  I'm in Boston right now with some of my students from school for the Harvard Model Congress conference, and things have been a little crazy.

Our newest challenge is vintage!  I used the Vintage Wedding Dress with Lace image for my card:

I really like how this turned out!  I ran my background cardstock through my Cuttlebug using the D'vine Swirl folder and then sanded it just a little.  After coloring the image with Crayola colored pencils, I adhered it to the cardstock using pop dots, then I put individual pearls along the bodice edge for some added dimension.  Sorry, but the maker of the sentiment stamp escapes me.

What vintage project can YOU come up with???  Don't forget that you're REQUIRED to use a digital or stamped image on your project.  You've got until Thursday, March 8, at 1:00 p.m. Central time to get your project uploaded to the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge site.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

CDAC Progressive Challenge 12 and TPV inspiration

As I get ready to head out to Boston for a week, I'm trying to get lots of projects done!  Tonight, I completed the last challenge for the CDAC Progressive Challenge, and it also works for the latest challenge at The Paper Variety.
I LOVE this image from Fred She Said!  I thought the little boy and his pet frog were just SOOO cute!!!  I colored the image with Crayola colored pencils and adhered it to my card with pop dots.  Both background papers on the card are from Echo Park's A Boy's Life, which I won during last weekend's Crop 'til You Drop in the Yahoo group Scrappin' 'n' Chattin' (Thanks, Theresa!).  The buttons are from my stash, and the sentiment is from The {Stamps} of Life.

The Paper Variety provided a photo for inspiration for this week's challenge:
As you can probably tell, I took quite a bit of inspiration from this photo.  I used the green for the pet frog, shades of blue in the little boy's shirt and in the background paper, and red for his hair.  I just loved them all!  The little boy reminds me of my cousin Kyle when he was little--red hair and all!

Be sure to stop back by later this week to see my newest project for the new challenge at Pattie's Creations AND I'll be in the Shabby Accents Blog Hop on the 27th and 28th with blog candy to give away!!!  Happy scrapping, everyone!

Happy Friday, everyone!  I can't BELIEVE I forgot to post about the new challenge at Pattie's Creations!  In honor of Valentine's Day on Tuesday, our latest challenge deals with Valentines and Love.  I used Pattie's image "Lab Puppy Present" for my card.
I really like the way this turned out!  I embossed the light pink cardstock with my D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder; the rhinestones are from Queen & Co., and the sentiment is from The {Stamps} of Life.

When linking up your project, please remember that it MUST have a digital or stamped image somewhere on your creation.  You've got until Thursday, February 23, at 1:00 p.m. Central time to get your project uploaded to the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge site.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Pattie's Creations Challenge #33--Birthdays OR Thanksgiving

If you're here for Day 1 of the Marine Corps Birthday Blog Hop, click here.

***********************************************************

Happy Friday, everyone!  That means it's time for a new challenge at Pattie's Creations!  Our theme for this challenge is birthdays OR Thanksgiving.
As you can see, I decided on a birthday card.  I LOVE the Chef Pattieboop image I used from Pattie's Creations!  I colored the image with Crayola colored pencils (my new fave!), then adhered it to white cardstock before using pop dots to attach it to the red cardstock.  I distressed the edges of the red cardstock with blue ink.  The green letter stickers were from my stash, and the other letters were cut from patterned birthday paper from my stash.  I'm also entering this at this week's Birthday Sundaes challenge.

We'd LOVE to see what you can create for this challenge!  Be sure to get your creation linked up to the Pattie's Creations Challenge site before Thursday, November 24, and be sure to come back to my blog later today for Day 2 of my Marine Corps Birthday Blog Hop.  I'll have another project and another giveaway!  Happy scrapping!

Pattie's Creations--Design Team announcement and new challenge!

What a great way to start a Friday!  Recently, I was invited to be part of the Design Team at Pattie's Creations!  I am SOOOO excited!!!!!!!  Pattie has some GREAT digital images, and I can't WAIT to work with the rest of the Design Team!

Our first challenge as new Design Team members is Challenge #31--Halloween!  It seems like I've been making a lot of Halloween cards lately, but I really like the way they've all turned out.  Pattie was gracious enough to provide the DT with the image "Witch Pattieboop with Caldron" to use on our creations.

I've been wanting to try a twisted easel card for a while, so I finally checked out a tutorial on YouTube, which you can find here.  It was MUCH easier than I thought it would be!  All of the papers were ones I found in my stash, and the sentiments were ones I found on my computer (which I think I downloaded quite a while ago, possibly from Papercrafts Magazine!).  I colored the image with Crayola colored pencils and added some Stickles to the sentiment on the front and the inside for a little extra OOMPH!

We'd LOVE to see your Halloween creations!  You can link them up at Pattie's Creations.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!
