Merry Christmas Snoopy

Everyone loves Snoopy, right?  We all remember him sleeping on top of his doghouse or flying after the Red Baron.  When I saw this rubber stamp of Snoopy several years ago, I knew I HAD to have it, and it's become one of my favorite stamps for Christmas cards.

I always love the simplicity of this card!  I used colored pencils to color the doghouse and the Christmas lights, and I added some Stickles to enhance the snow.  The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life's Christmastree2stamp set (which I believe has been discontinued).  I'm also entering this in the Anything Christmas Goes challenge at The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge and at the Anything Goes challenge at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy scrapping!

One of my son's teachers and a church friend recently learned that her breast cancer (which she had beaten!) has metastisized. :-(  When I found the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, I knew I needed to make a card that I hope will cheer her up!

Here's Sketch 307:

Here's my take:

I hope this puts a bright spot in her day!

Stick It Down Guest Designer

Happy Friday, everyone!  I'm here today to share my card as Guest Designer at Stick It Down!  Just as a refresher, here's this month's card sketch:

Here's my take on the sketch:

I really love the way my card came out!  I had a new stamp and die set from The {Stamps} of Life that I hadn't had the chance to use yet, so I was SUPER excited to use it!  I colored each layer of the rainbow then used Stickles on those layers and on the clouds for some extra pop.

Thanks to the ladies at Stick It Down for having me back as a Guest Designer!  I had a great time working with this sketch!

My oldest son, Kennedy, was awarded a first place ribbon in his school science fair today, so I thought I would make him a card to let him know how proud of him we are!  I followed this sketch at C.A.S. Clean & Simple Colours & Sketches:

Since I wanted to use a blue ribbon on the front, I rotated the sketch for a vertical card.

CAS Happy Birthday

I tried my hand tonight at a clean and simple birthday card.  I don't normally use a lot of butterflies on things, but I found a piece of glitter paper I'd punched a butterfly out of, so I used that as a stencil since I don't have a butterfly punch.

I found the inspiration for this on Pinterest and knew it would come together fairly quickly.  I adhered the glitter butterfly directly to my card base, then used a glue dot just on the center portion to adhere the dotted butterfly.  I bent the sides up just a bit for some added dimension.  The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I finished off the inside with a small butterfly decorative button.

Supplies Used
Teresa Collins glitter paper
