Chef Mickey's

Besides doing layouts for Scrappin' 'n' Chattin's monthly 24-Hour Challenge, I haven't completed more than one layout a month in several months.  I thought I'd almost forgotten how!  LOL!  I decided to scrap some of our 2016 Spring Break pictures from our trip to Walt Disney World.

For my first layout today, I used the sketch for Layout Challenge #110 from Sketch-N-Scrap:

Here's my take:

Our youngest son had never been to Walt Disney World, and he had a BLAST!!!  He can't wait to go back!

Happy Thanksgiving

This is one of my favorite times of the year!  The weather gets colder, leaves start to change colors and fall off the trees, and families plan large get-togethers.  It's a time to remember what we're thankful for and to enjoy good food, family, fellowship, and football (GO COWBOYS!) in the process!

I decided to enter this week's Whimsical Twist grateful challenge, so I followed this sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap:
I pulled out some brown ribbon (I promise the ribbon really is brown!) from my stash and my Bo Bunny FAVE fall papers--Forever Fall--and created this:
I wanted to finish things off, so I added a sentiment to the inside
and an image to the envelope.

This will be going in the mail on Monday to a former student of mine who is a resident of our local Sheriff's Girl's Ranch.  She's had quite a few things happen in her life, so I'm trying to give her some encouragement right now.

The stamps are from the Bountiful Blessings set from There She Goes Clear Stamps, and I used Ranger Archival Ink in coffee.  The leaf charms came from my friend Danni in an RAK (Thanks, Danni!), and they fit perfectly on my card!  I'll also be entering this in the "Thanksgiving" monthly card challenge at the Yahoo group Scrappin' 'n' Chattin'.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to come back on Thanksgiving Day (November 28) and again on Saturday, November 30, as I'm participating in a "12 Days of Christmas" blog hop, and I'll have a different Christmas project (and a giveaway!) to share with you each day.  Happy scrapping, everyone!

One of my son's friends has a birthday party tomorrow that we can't make it to, so we're sending a present to school on Monday with Joseph for the little boy.  Just another opportunity for me to make a card!  This time, I used Card Sketch #10 at Sketch-N-Scrap:
 And here's my card:

Since I made this card base myself, I didn't have an envelope to go with it, so I pulled out my new WeRMemoryKeepers Envelope Punch Board and made one!  This was the first time I'd used the punch board, and I was surprised at how SUPER easy it was to make an envie.  I will DEFINITELY be using this again!

Supplies used:
~Echo Park Boys Mini Theme patterned paper
~Echo Park A Boy's Life 6x6 mini pad

Challenges entered:
~Scrappin' 'n' Chattin' Monthly Card Challenge--animal
~Party Time Tuesdays Anything Goes #139
~Pattie's Creations Animals #76
