Sketches in Thyme PL Style--Sketch #17

Welcome to March and a new sketch for Week 1 at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style!  The first sketch for March comes from the lovely Maven Shawn:

I used the sketch to make my title card for the Week 24 page in my 2014 album.  Yes, I am STILL working on my 2014 album.  Not sure if I will EVER get it finished, but I need to, because I already have my title cards lined up for my 2016 album!  (I've decided that a 2015 album is simply NOT going to happen, and I have resigned myself to that fact and to just scrapping the most important memories from 2015.)

Unfortunately, I don't have a completed PL page to show you TODAY due to printer problems, but I'm hoping to get them fixed and be able to edit this post to include that completed page later this week.  Be sure to stop back by!

Supplies Used
~Cardstock from stash
~Crate Paper Boys Rule To the Rescue! wood pieces
~David Walker by Colorbok Black Alphabet
~Marcella by K Evergreen Dye Ink
~Stickles in Black Diamond, Christmas Red, Green, and Lime Green

We can't wait to see the PL cards you create with this new sketch!  Be sure to get your creation linked up at the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge blog before the end of the month.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style--Sketch #13

Welcome to February and a new sketch for Week 1 at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style!  The first sketch for February comes from the lovely Maven Shawn:

I used the sketch to make my title card for the Week 23 page in my 2014 album.  Unless I SERIOUSLY get busy, I think I am going to be working on my 2014 album FOREVER!!!

The photo printer in my craft room is still on the fritz, but I was able to get our downstairs printer working correctly with my computer in order to print the pics so I could show you a finished PL page!  Yay!!!

I matted my 4x6 photos, because once I trimmed the edges off the prints they were a little small for the sections.  I printed the center photos on 4x6 photo paper, too, then just trimmed them down to 3x4 for the center section.  I really like writing directly on the photos when I do PL pages.  I think it looks neat!

Supplies Used
~Becky Higgins Project Life Journaling Pen (I really love these pens for writing on photos!)
~Bella Creationz Clearly Beautiful sequins
~Gelly Roll Pen--white (I'd never used this pen on my photos before, but it worked quite well!)
~Me and My Big Ideas Chipboard Embellishments--Sassy Alphabets
~Washi tape (turquoise) from stash

We can't wait to see the PL cards you create with this new sketch!  Be sure to get your creation linked up at the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge blog before the end of the month.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style--Sketch #9

Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Welcome to January and a new sketch for Week 1 at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style!  The first sketch for January comes from the lovely Maven Shawn (It's been rotated here.):

I used the sketch to make my title card for the Week 22 page in my 2014 (Yes, I said 2014!) album.

My apologies for not having my finished page to show how I used the card on my page, but my photo printer is on the fritz right now, so I can't print the pics to put in my page protectors.  :-(

We can't wait to see the PL cards you create with this new sketch!  Be sure to get your creation linked up at the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge blog before the end of the month.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style--Sketch #5

Welcome to December and a new sketch for Week 1 at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style!  The first sketch for December comes from the lovely Maven Shawn:

Once I decided what photos I was going to use for my page, I realized I needed to flip the sketch since I was going to use a vertical photo.

This was a WONDERFUL weekend that I DEFINITELY wanted to document, and these were the perfect photos for this page.

This weekend was more than I could have ever asked for!  I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about Teresa Collins Webber.  She is the strongest, most incredible woman I think I have ever met.  She is loving.  She is caring.  She is creative.  She is genuine.  What you see is what you get with her.  She is super friendly and such an inspiration!  I will treasure this weekend and the opportunity to meet her and get to know her a little better for a very long time.

Everything on this PL page (except for the cardstock) is from various Teresa Collins collections that we were given throughout the weekend.  Most are remnants from projects we completed, but we were also given some pieces of other collections.  I used Daily Stories, Something Wonderful, and Urban Market on this page.

There are two (Yes, I said TWO!) prizes for this month:

 White Pines assortment AND

White Pines Complements!  Aren't these just DARLING?!?

We can't wait to see the PL cards you create with this new sketch!  Be sure to get your creation linked up at the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge blog before the end of the month.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style--Challenge #1!

This is my second post of the day.  If you're looking for the Robyn's Fetish Challenge post, please click here!

*********************************************************************************

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Today is the first day for the new challenge blog Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style, and I'm here with the sketch reveal and my take on the sketch!  The prize for November is the Day-to-Day Instalife Roller Stamp:

Our first sketch was created by the wonderfully talented Shawn Lahr:

Here's my take on Shawn's sketch:

I used a 4x6 card from my Becky Higgins Project Life Honey collection and added all of my elements to it.  The washi tape and yellow letters came from my stash, the rhinestones are Sunflower Yellow from Queen & Co., and the flowers are stickers also found in my stash.

I am SUPER far behind in my 2014 PL album, so this is the title card for Week 21 of 2014.  As it looks on my finished page:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to stop by the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog every day this week to see the rest of Team 1's creations, then hop over to the blog and enter your take on the sketch!  Hope to see you there!  Happy scrapping!
