Jingle Bells

It's been a LOOOONG time since I entered a creative challenge of ANY kind, but I decided to go ahead and use the sketch at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and enter their August Sketch Challenge.  Here's their August sketch:

Here's my take on the sketch:

The bells are wood pieces I found in my Christmas stash.  Two of the bells look a little dark, but I used Stampin' Up's Shaded Spruce Classic Stamp Pad to color them green, and I used Ranger's Wendy Vecchi Designer Series Archival Ink in Red Geranium on the other one.  The papers are scraps from the Echo Park Here Comes Santa Claus 6x6 Paper Pad and the Teresa Collins Santa's List 6x6 Designer Pad, and I used Recollections foam adhesive circles to pop up the sentiment.

I hope this will give me the challenge-entering bug again, because I really enjoy it when I have time!  I hope everyone has a great weekend!  Happy scrapping!

Pinecone Christmas

When I was looking for new sketches and challenges, I came across 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.  I always participate in a Christmas in July card challenge in one of my scrapbook groups, but I never have enough Christmas cards.  I also came across the ABC Christmas Challenge.  Both of these will be perfect and will hopefully help me have enough cards this year!

Here's the January sketch:
