CDAC Progressive Challenge 11

If you're here for the You Light Up My Life blog hop, please click here!
*************************************************************
Well, I guess there's nothing like waiting until the last minute to do my card for the CDAC Progressive Challenge 11!  I chose the image Treats for 2 from Lauretta's Digital Stamps and made this card to give my husband tomorrow for Valentine's Day:
I really like the way it turned out.  The red cardstock was run through my Cuttlebug using the D'vine Swirls embossing folder, and the heart ribbon was in my stash.  I printed the digi twice so I could fussy cut the hearts and whipped cream, and then I adhered them to the original image with pop dots for some added dimension.  I added rhinestone "sprinkles" to the "chocolate" ice cream, Star Dust Stickles to the whipped cream, and Candy Cane Stickles to the hearts for some extra bling and distressed the edges of the card with some Studio G pink pigment ink.  The sentiment is from The {Stamps} of Life.  I sure hope my husband likes it!

You Light Up My Life hop

You light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on
You light up my days
and fill my nights with song

Jearise from Lorby's World is our hostess for today's hop, which takes a look at all those things that light up our lives--be it a significant other, children, place, or pets. Enjoy what they have come up with as you hop along, and please leave a comment on each blog to light up their life today. Some may be giving blog candy away, so keep an eye open to see and you never know...your life may be lit up.

Lights on . . .

"My Guys" are my loving husband Adrian and my wonderful sons Kennedy and Joseph. They are my everything! My husband had this picture of the three of them taken almost three summers ago, when Joseph was just about six months old, as a surprise for me. What a wonderful surprise it was! I wouldn't be the wife and mother I am without their love and support. I am so blessed!!!

Here's the entire lineup, in case you get lost:

I'm one of the stops with blog candy to give away! I'd love for you to become a follower, but it's not required. You must leave me a comment, though, along with a way to contact you if you win, and tell me what or who lights up YOUR life. Thanks for stopping by!

Pattie's Creations Design Challenge--Valentines & Love #37

If you're here to see the winner of my blog candy from the Valentine Card Blog Hop for Cancer Patients, please click here!
*******************************************************************
Happy Friday, everyone!  I can't BELIEVE I forgot to post about the new challenge at Pattie's Creations!  In honor of Valentine's Day on Tuesday, our latest challenge deals with Valentines and Love.  I used Pattie's image "Lab Puppy Present" for my card.
I really like the way this turned out!  I embossed the light pink cardstock with my D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder; the rhinestones are from Queen & Co., and the sentiment is from The {Stamps} of Life.

When linking up your project, please remember that it MUST have a digital or stamped image somewhere on your creation.  You've got until Thursday, February 23, at 1:00 p.m. Central time to get your project uploaded to the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge site.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Valentine Card Blog Hop blog candy winner!

My apologies for taking SOOO long to post the winner of my blog candy from last week's blog hop!  This past week was a SUPER crazy week for me, and it finally slowed down TODAY.  I went through my blog comments from the hop and assigned numbers to all comments that were left during the hop (18 comments in all) and then put the numbers through random.org.  The lucky number was 16, which belongs to Anita (find her blog here)!  Congrats, Anita!  Please e-mail me or send me a FB message within one week with your address, and I'll get your prize right out.  Thanks, again, to everyone who stopped by!  Please be sure to stop back by later for my (late!) post for the new challenge at Pattie's Creations and then again on Monday for a new blog hop!

The Paper Variety challenge

Have you checked out the challenges at The Paper Variety yet?  Abby and Suzanne are GREAT friends of mine, and they've churned out an AWESOME challenge blog!!!  Their current challenge is based on this sketch:
Here's the layout I created:
I LOVE this paper line!  The pictures are of my youngest son, Joseph, and I thought they worked perfectly for this sketch.  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out!

I haven't forgotten that I STILL need to give away blog candy from the blog hop over the weekend.  I PROMISE I'll be back tomorrow to take care of that!  Happy scrapping, everyone!
