CDAC Progressive Challenge

I wasn't sure I was going to play along with the new progressive challenge at CDAC, but I decided to go ahead.  Here's what I came up with:

Just Living . . .

The current challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog is to use gingham and/or checks on your card, so I came up with this:

It took me a little bit to make the flower, then I had trouble getting the button to stay on.  Once I got the hang of it, though, it turned out lovely!  My sentiment continues on the inside:

Eggstra Special Easter

I know it's not Easter yet, but I was fortunate enough to have some time during spring break to work on some projects and thought I'd whip up an Easter card.

The egg stack is a digital stamp image from LiaStampz (where I'm on the DT), and the sentiment is from the "Hunny Bunnies" set at There She Goes Clear Stamps.

Travel blog name--STILL CONSIDERING!!

If you are a regular reader here, you'll know that I'm going to be starting a new (and completely separate from this one!) travel/food/photography blog and have been looking for a catchy name for it.  THIS CRAFTY BLOG IS NOT GOING AWAY!!!  Traveling, food, and photography are three of my other passions, so what better thing to do than start a blog that incorporates all three!  I only had a few suggestions, so I'm going to leave the contest/giveaway open until March 15!  Feel free to direct your friends over here, too, if they have suggestions!  All you have to do to have your name suggestion considered is to leave it here as a comment.  That's it!  Hope I get more submissions!

I made this 8x8 layout as part of an ABC book about myself.  It commemorates the first NASCAR race my husband and I ever went to together at Talladega.  It was AWESOME!!!!  This was back in 2005; we've been back once since then and had a great time.  My favorite driver is Mark Martin (We're from the same hometown.), and my husband's favorite driver is Jeff Gordon, so I did half of the photo collage about each driver.

I hope everyone's having a great day!  Here in Arkansas it's cold, rainy, and icy.  We were out of school today due to the impending ice storm, and now all of the trees (as well as many power lines!) are COVERED in ice!  I took advantage of the day off to head upstairs to my craft room and came up with this gem of a card:

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out!  My materials list:  ribbon (from my stash), gold mesh (from my stash), Michael's paper flowers, My Mind's Eye Six by Six All Spice cardstock paper, Ranger Archival Ink in coffee, and Cloud 9 Design stamp (Simple Thoughts--Travel).

The card is my week eight card for Scrappin' 'n' Chattin's 52 Week Card Challenge and also works for SnC's rounded corners challenge for February.  I'm entering this for the following challenges:

I need a travel blog name!!!

I'm starting a new travel/photography/food blog, but I need a catchy name!  I thought I'd turn to my fellow bloggers for help.  I'd really to get this blog up and running pretty quickly, so please leave me a comment with your suggestion for a travel/photography/food blog title.  I should mention that the new blog will be a completely separate blog.  IT WILL NOT AFFECT MY CRAFTY BLOG AT ALL!  I'll take suggestions all week and will choose one on Saturday, 23 February, and will post here.  I'll have blog candy (to be announced later) for the person who submits the winning title!  I can't wait to see what my fellow bloggers come up with for me!
