Lasting Memories weekly layout challenge

Happy Sunday, everyone!  It's time for the new Lasting Memories Layout Challenge!  This is my first week on the Design Team at Lasting Memories, and I have to say that I really enjoyed working with the sketch for this week.  For this week's challenge, the Design Team was asked to create a layout based on this sketch:

Here's my take on the sketch:

The pictures are from my trip to Paris in June of 2005.  My picture turned out darker than I intended, but I didn't realize that until today.  I guess that's what happens when you take the picture after midnight!  I'll post a list of supplies later.  I hope you'll play along with the Lasting Memories Layout Challenge this week.  You can go here to see all the details and submit your layout.  Can't wait to see what you create!

Second Design Team!

Last week, I learned that Party Time Tuesdays was looking for a new Design Team and was taking applications.  Well, I don't have an online gallery and the majority of the stuff on my blog is pictures of my layouts, but I decided to apply anyway.  To my surprise, I GOT PICKED!!!!!!!  I am SOOOOOO excited!!!!!!  Please come join us for the challenges over at Party Time Tuesdays.  Since I'm now on two--count 'em, TWO--design teams, maybe I should have a giveaway!  Hmmm . . . something to think about.  I'll have to see if I have something pretty cool that I can give away.  Check back later this weekend for a possible giveaway!

First Design Team!

This week one of the challenges I entered my American Hero layout (seen here) in was the Lasting Memories Challenge Blog.  They were ALSO looking for new Design Team members, which I applied for.  Well . . . . . . . I got notified today that I was one of the ones chosen!!!!!  I am SOOOOO excited!!!!!  It will be officially announced on the LMCB tomorrow morning, but you can check out their blog by clicking the link on the right side of my blog.  I'm REALLY looking forward to working with the other members of the Design Team over there.  Hope you'll come check us out!

52 Week Challenge--Week 3 Layout & other challenges

So, here's my layout for Week 3 of Scrappin' 'n' Chattin's 52 Week Challenge!
I'm getting lots of mileage out of this layout!  It not only serves as my Week 3 layout, but it also satisfies the Double Dip challenge in S-n-C's monthly challenges.  I'm entering it in a couple of blog challenges as well!  You can view it at Artful Delight and Lasting Memories.  Artful Delight's challenge is based on a sketch, and Lasting Memories' challenge is a recipe challenge this week--1 ribbon, 2 buttons, 3 colors.  Thanks for looking!

COOL! I did it again!

Well, I did it again.  I won on ANOTHER blog!!!  I guess all that time I spent leaving all those comments really paid off.  This one is even cooler, because it was on my friend April's blog!  You can read it on her blog, Scrapper Forever!  Thanks for the giveaway, April!

I won, I won!!!

Last week there were several blog hops going on, so I spent quite a bit of time on the computer going to various crafty, scrapbooking blogs and leaving LOTS of comments.  Well . . . . . . . . . . I WON!!!!!!  I'm SOOO excited!!!!!  This is the first blog candy I've ever won!  You can read about my win and see what I won here.  Thanks to Elizabeth for the giveaway!

New layout!!!

I'm a moderator in a Yahoo group about scrapbooking, Scrappin' 'n' Chattin'.  One of our WONDERFUL members, April, came up with the great idea for a 52 Week Challenge this year.  The premise is exactly what the title suggests--one layout per week for the entire year.  Here's my layout for Week 2, which I'm also entering in The Paper Variety's Pink Challenge, Sketchy Thursday's February Guest Design Team Member Challenge, and the Double Dip theme for the S-n-C January challenges.  TFL!
