My Dad

I think this is my last post for today!  One of our monthly layout challenges for March at Scrappin' 'n' Chattin' is to either use someone else's journaling or to journal in their words.  I decided to create this layout in my youngest son, Joseph's, words:
I had Sketch #105 from Sketches in Thyme in mind when I created this.
I hope my husband doesn't see this before Father's Day, because I think I'll frame it and give it to him as a Father's Day gift from Joseph.  I'm also entering this at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges, as their challenge this week is Clean & Simple (It's a LMLC Design Team entry, too!).

I'll be back later this week with more projects, as I've got a few more things on my list that I want to make.  Have a great week, everyone, and happy scrapping!

The Crafting Cafe March Challenge

The March challenge at The Crafting Cafe is to use your favorite color.  I had a SLIGHT problem in the fact that I have SEVERAL favorite colors, so I decided to combine them all into one card!
The sentiments are from the Fiskars stamp set "So Much Thanks," and I used Studio G pigment inks in five different colors.  I saw a card similar to this in Paper Crafts Tips & Tricks magazine, so I thought I'd try one myself.  I think it turned out pretty good!

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy scrapping!

CDAC Progressive Challenge

I wasn't sure I was going to play along with the new progressive challenge at CDAC, but I decided to go ahead.  Here's what I came up with:
This card and image worked perfectly for the gatefold challenge we had over at Scrappin' 'n' Chattin' in our 52 Week Card Challenge.  I used the digi sentiment I was provided for the inside of the card:
Thanks for stopping by!  Happy scrapping!

Just Living . . .

The current challenge at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog is to use gingham and/or checks on your card, so I came up with this:
It took me a little bit to make the flower, then I had trouble getting the button to stay on.  Once I got the hang of it, though, it turned out lovely!  My sentiment continues on the inside:
All of the stamps are from Close To My Heart.  Thanks for stopping by!

Eggstra Special Easter

I know it's not Easter yet, but I was fortunate enough to have some time during spring break to work on some projects and thought I'd whip up an Easter card.
The egg stack is a digital stamp image from LiaStampz (where I'm on the DT), and the sentiment is from the "Hunny Bunnies" set at There She Goes Clear Stamps.

I followed the Sketch #20 at Case This Sketch:
I'll be entering this card in the following challenges:  Case This Sketch #20, Crafty Steals Third Thursday Challenge (Easter Fun), Little Miss Muffet Challenge #57 (Happy Easter), Scrappin' 'n' Chattin's 52 Week Card Challenge (Week #13), and Scrappin' 'n' Chattin's March Card Challenge (Easter).

I'll have more creations as the week goes along, so be sure to stop back by!  Happy scrappin'!
