Halloween Words

Having two boys, I can ALWAYS use more Halloween cards (even if my oldest IS 17!), so I decided to make a quick and easy Halloween card.

I used cardstock, one stamp, embossing powder, and heat embossing, so I think this card probably took me all of five minutes to make.  I might still add a piece of Halloween ribbon across the top, but I quite like the simplicity of it.

I used this sketch from the 52 Week Card Challenge Week #4 in the Scrappin' 'n' Chattin' Yahoo group:

World Travellers

Welcome back for LOAD2!  Today's prompt dealt with transportation, specifically planes.  I chose to use a picture of the student group I took to Europe in 2005.  This was the last group photo taken of us before we left Europe, as we wanted a group photo with our tour guide, so this was taken at the airport in Munich, Germany.

I used the sketch from the February Sketch Challenge in the Yahoo group Scrappin' 'n' Chattin'.

I had such a great time on this trip (Well, except for the trip to the emergency room in Paris.)!  It was wonderful to be able to travel with this wonderful group of young women and give them the opportunity to experience other countries and cultures they may never be able to see again.

CAS Happy Birthday

I tried my hand tonight at a clean and simple birthday card.  I don't normally use a lot of butterflies on things, but I found a piece of glitter paper I'd punched a butterfly out of, so I used that as a stencil since I don't have a butterfly punch.

I found the inspiration for this on Pinterest and knew it would come together fairly quickly.  I adhered the glitter butterfly directly to my card base, then used a glue dot just on the center portion to adhere the dotted butterfly.  I bent the sides up just a bit for some added dimension.  The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I finished off the inside with a small butterfly decorative button.
