Through the Purple Haze Challenge #42--Inspiration Song

Just a quick post for the new challenge at Through the Purple Haze!  There's an inspiration song we'd like you to use for this challenge, and it can be found on the TTPH Challenge Blog.  The DT received digis from the Scrapper's Delights Store for use on our projects.

Even though I don't have any little girls in my house (all boys!), I still LOVE pinks & purples.

Be sure to get your project linked up at TTPH for a great prize!  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Through the Purple Haze Challenge#40--Anything but Square

******Please scroll down for the newest Linnie Blooms Design Team challenge post.******

*********************************************************************

Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone!  I don't know about you, but we'll be having tacos and margaritas at my house for dinner tonight to celebrate!  LOL!

It's time for the newest challenge at Through the Purple Haze--Anything but Square!  Design Team sponsors for this challenge are Crafty Sentiments Designs and Hannah Lynn.

My image was Tin Girl provided by Hannah Lynn, so I decided to use a heart-shaped card.

I used Crayola colored pencils to color my image, then I added Queen & Co. Formal Rhinestone Trios to her hat.  Candy Cane Stickles were used on the red heart, Zing Embossing Powder in Silver was used on her outfit, and I inked the edges of the pink heart with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Barn Door.  The shaped card was cut from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge.  The sentiment was from my Studio G Clear Stamps.

We're excited to see what you can come up with for this week's challenge!  Remember--it's Anything but Square, and you need to link up on the Through the Purple Haze challenge blog.  This week's prize is three digis from Crafty Sentiments and three images from Hannah Lynn.  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

Through the Purple Haze Secret Santa Blog Hop

Happy Monday, everyone!  I hope you're not snowed in, wherever you may be!  We were supposed to get about three inches but ended up getting nothing.  Bummer!  Even though we've already missed 4 1/2 days of school due to ice, I already wanted another snow day.  Is that bad? ;-)

Welcome to the Secret Santa Blog Hop for Through the Purple Haze!  If you came here from Anita's blog, then you're in the right place!  If you just happened upon my blog, you should start at Anita's blog, where you'll also find the entire lineup.

Today the Design Team is going to be sharing with you the gifts we received from our Secret Santa on the team.  I got a box FULL of great things!

I think there was also a really cute globe-like thing my Secret Santa made using an extra-small fish bowl and an extra-small flower pot, but the globe was broken when the package came. :-(  I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to be able to put a new globe on it and salvage it or not.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and/or holiday season!  Your next stop  is Becky.  But WAIT--there's more!  I've got a bag of goodies to give away!!!  Here's what you need to do:

1.  Become a follower of my blog; and
2.  Leave a comment telling me EITHER your favorite Christmas present this year OR your favorite thing about this time of year (Sorry, but comments that do not include this will not be included in the drawing.).

For an EXTRA ENTRY into the drawing, share this on your blog, Twitter, or Facebook, and leave a separate comment saying you did so.  THAT'S IT!  The giveaway will stay open until this Friday, January 10.  I'll draw a winner and post on Saturday, January 11.

I hope you enjoy this blog hop, and be sure to come back NEXT Monday for the first Through the Purple Haze challenge of 2014!  Enjoy the hop, good luck, and happy scrapping!

Through the Purple Haze Here Comes Christmas Day with Penny Black

I can't believe it's less than two weeks until Christmas!  I hope you've all finished your Christmas shopping.  I still have a few things left to buy, and I have a few crafty projects I have to get completed.  For now, though, it's time for the last challenge of the year at Through the Purple Haze!  We're featuring Penny Black stamps, and the prize this week is three sets of Penny Black stamps.

I'm still a few Christmas cards short this year, so I used a Penny Black image to make this CAS Christmas card:

This image is so cute!  I used colored pencils to color the image, and I added six pearls from Creative Imaginations to add a little dimension to the package.  The sentiment is from craft smart and one I picked up at Michael's at some point, and I used Evergreen Dye Ink from Marcella by K to stamp the image and to ink the edges around the sentiment.  I followed the sketch from addicted to stamps and will be entering the challenge there.

Challenges Entered
addicted to stamps--Challenge #71 Sketch
613 Avenue Create--Challenge #50 Anything Goes/Optional Twist:  CAS
CAS on Sunday--Challenge #23 Christmas
Challenges 4 Everybody--Challenge #35 Anything Goes
Scrappin' 'n' Chattin' December Card Challenge--6 pearls
Whimsical Twist--December and Holiday Themed Project

We can't wait to see your Christmas creations!  Be sure to hop over to the Through the Purple Haze blog to get your project linked up, and stay tuned for our blog hop in January!  Good luck, and happy scrapping!
