The North Pole Blog Hop

Welcome to The North Pole Blog Hop!

To the North Pole I'd like to go,
Over fields of ice and snow;
To see Santa dear,
Mrs. Claus and the elves would be
Waiting there for you and me;
Where they make the toys so busily!

Connie Can Crop is the beginning of this hop!  If you need to start at the beginning, head over to Connie Can Crop.  This is a one-day blog hop, but you have until Sunday to finish hopping and leaving your love for all of these talented elves.

We have an awesome sponsor for this month!

In his wonderful reindeer sleigh,
Santa would whisk us all away;
Flying merrily,
Non-stop to the NORTH POLE!!

Today I'm sharing with you a card I made this year for a Christmas in July challenge.  I LOVE the stamp, which I got from Deep Red Stamps.  The edges of the scallop hang over the card just a little bit, but I still really love the look of this card.

Next head on over to Santa's Workshop and visit with Holli.  Here's our lineup in case you get lost along the way:

Stinkin' Inkers December Challenge

The theme for the December Challenge at Stinkin' Inkers is Christmas Joys.  We want you to create a project showcasing anything that celebrates the holiday.  I thought I would share with you one of the non-traditional Christmas cards I made this year.

I really LOVE the way this turned out and how well the colors go together!  They're not typical colors for a Christmas card, and I think that's what makes it so much fun.

You have until 7 pm on Friday, December 29 to get your Christmas Joys project linked up on the Stinkin' Inkers blog.  Head over to the blog, too, to see some inspiration from the Design Team.  We can't wait to see your projects!  Happy scrapping, everyone!

As we approach the busy holiday seasons, let us take a few minutes this weekend to stop and reflect on the things in our life that we are thankful for.  We bring you this hop as a way to encourage you and inspire you to reach out and say thank you to those who surround you.  This simple gesture can go a long way!

You should have arrived from Veronica but if you need to start at the beginning, head on over to Connie Can Crop.  This is a one day blog hop, but you have until Sunday to finish hopping and leaving your love for all of these talented crafters.

I have two separate Thank You cards to show you today.  I made these as part of a card collection which was donated to our local CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Silent Auction this year, which benefited our program allowing us to continue to advocate in the court system for abused and neglected children in foster care.

The lady who purchased the card collection was absolutely in LOVE with the cards!  I was so happy!!!

Now please hop on over to Alicia next!  Here's our lineup in case you get lost along the way:

I had this fun little witch digital stamp from my time as a Design Team member at Pattie G's a few years ago, and I thought she would be perfect for this project.

All of the patterned papers are from Doodlebug Design's Boos & Brews collection.  I used some Stickels to enhance the stars and smoke a little, and I found the cute little pom-poms at my local Dollar Tree.  Both sentiments and the image on the inside are from Bug Bites.

This was my youngest son's first birthday; he's now eight!  He wasn't quite sure what to do with the cake at first, but when he got into it, he had a blast!  Once he was finished, we took him straight to the bathtub, and the water turned red.  LOL!

Stick It Down Guest Designer

Happy Friday, everyone!  I'm here today to share my card as Guest Designer at Stick It Down!  Just as a refresher, here's this month's card sketch:

Here's my take on the sketch:

I really love the way my card came out!  I had a new stamp and die set from The {Stamps} of Life that I hadn't had the chance to use yet, so I was SUPER excited to use it!  I colored each layer of the rainbow then used Stickles on those layers and on the clouds for some extra pop.

Thanks to the ladies at Stick It Down for having me back as a Guest Designer!  I had a great time working with this sketch!
