The project I have to share with you today is a calendar I make for my husband (and oldest son!) every year for Christmas.  The pictures I'm sharing with you are of my husband's 2008 calendar, as he sometimes reads my blog, and I don't want him to see his present before it's Christmas! ;-)

I'd planned to share his 2014 calendar with you but realized too late that I only had photos of the layouts and not the calendar pages.  The past couple of years I've embellished the calendar pages a little more than these were, and I also now use my Bind-It-All to bind the calendar instead of just using rings.  As you can see, I use the same patterned paper for the top and bottom of each month, and the bottom page is covered with a vellum page containing the monthly grid, which has been hand-traced from a template I got MANY years ago in a calendar class I took.  I adhere the vellum page to the patterned paper using vellum adhesive, and I adhere the bottom calendar page to the top page of the next month.

This is a gift I started giving my husband in 2006, and I think I've only missed two years since then.  My oldest son loved my husband's so much that he asked for one, so now I have to make two every year--one for each of them.  My youngest son will be six in January, and I'm sure he'll be asking for one very soon, too!

Up next is Miranda!

Here is our complete line up in case you get lost along the way:
We wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!
