Fun Friday with Timeless Twine!

Happy Friday, everyone!  Today it's Fun Friday over on the Timeless Twine blog, and we're asked to think outside the box and do something we don't normally do.  I do some altered art, although not a lot recently, but when I saw this cupcake, I knew I HAD to work with it for my Valentine's decorations.

I think it turned out so fun and colorful with the "sprinkles" on top of the cupcake!

Thought I'd share some more pics of this project with you:

I forgot to take a photo of the front of the cupcake before I started painting it, so I just flipped it over so you could see the base.

I used acrylic paints when painting this and was sure to cover my craft area with newspaper.

Hap-hap-happiest Christmas

I hope it's nice and toasty warm where you are!  On Saturday, we had seventy degree temperatures here in Arkansas, then Sunday the temperature dropped over forty degrees and brought with it sleeet and snow.  BRRR!!!  My husband and son have both had snow days from school the past two days, so I've spent some time in my scrap room.

I really liked this week's sketch at Mojo Monday

One of the February Card Challenges in the Yahoo group Scrappin' 'n' Chattin' is colorful, and I thought this sketch lent itself to that challenge perfectly!

Once I found the cute rainbow stickers in my stash, everything else came together very quickly.  The colored squares are cut at 1x1.

Cardstock from stash

You've got until February 28 to get your creation linked up on the Stick It Down blog.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Good luck, and happy scrapping!

planNERD Sunday at Timeless Twine!

Today I'm here with the first planNERD Sunday of February from Timeless Twine!  If you use a daily or monthly planner and you're looking for some stamp sets to help decorate your planner, Bella Creationz has some WONDERFUL ones!  I've never decorated my planner before, so this will be a work in progress.

I use a Daytimer planner with monthly and daily pages:

As you can see, the inside pages of the planner are rather plain.  Thought I would dress them up a little!

I really love the pictures and quotes on the monthly divider pages, but I thought they were a little plain.  I spruced up February's page by outlining the large flower with Raspberry Pink Timeless Twine and adding a few Sparkly Clear sequins from Bella Creationz.

I also added some Aqua Blue and Purple Passion Timeless Twine to the monthly calendar page and used the planNERD and planNERD 2 stamp sets from Bella Creationz to quickly put in some deadlines for the month so I could see things at a glance.

I also used Metallic Silver Stars sequins from Bella Creationz to mark off the projects that I'd completed.  My daily pages are still a work in progress, but here's my page from yesterday:

Just a few simple stamps from the planNERD and planNERD 2 sets makes a world of difference!  I really like the "Hydrate" stamp with the glasses at the bottom, as I'm planning to start keeping up with my water intake, but I'm going to have to find an ink color that's a little darker.

I LOVE the "Project" stamp!  It reminds me of all the places I need to make sure my projects get to once they're finished and published on my blog.

Throwback Thursday with Timeless Twine

Welcome to Throwback Thursday with Timeless Twine!  Ashley here from Marine Life's Scrappin' Life with the first Throwback Thursday project of February.  For Timeless Twine, Throwback Thursday means the Design Team picks a project we made previously and makes it even better!  We'll be showing before and after pictures so you can see the difference.

I went through my card stash to see if I had something I could rework to make it better, and I came across this card I made for Valentine's Day:

I knew I could probably make this better, so I pulled out some cardstock, Stickles, and my Strawberry Cupcake Timeless Twine, and Happy Days stamp set and went to work!  It turned out like this:

I just love the pink & red combination of the Strawberry Cupcake Timeless Twine!  The inside sentiment is from the "Happy Days" stamp set from Bella Creationz.

I know you've all got projects out there that you weren't totally happy with, so drag one of them out and rework it.  You never know what you'll come up with!  Thanks for stopping by!  Happy scrapping, everyone!
